The Chariot
A Crack in the Clouds - A Time for Change
Tonight is the 31st of December 2025 in Oz. By the time it reaches you, it will be New Year’s Day 2026.
But for now, as I write this, it is the last day of 2025.
We will never be here in this moment, in this time and space, ever again. Unless, of course, one is a time traveller and may decide to revisit some time.
I think I prefer to leave 2025 where it is, in the past. As I look back and peruse the world’s journey, I’m not sure it’s been a good year of any positive relevance. So much unrest and hate still inhabit the dark side of our planet. Hiding in the new moon’s underglow. As is the narrative of the moon, it’s where things are hidden, only to be exposed by the light of the full moon.
As we head into a new year of 2026, curious that our new world journey lifts off with a full moon on 3 January 2026, in the sign of Cancer, my sign.
The Cancerian positive traits are:
· Loyal: Cancers will do whatever it takes to help the ones they love, even turn their backs on their own beliefs or sense of judgment. Their strong ability to empathise with others is partly what makes the Cancer sign one of the most devoted in the zodiac.
· Protective: Fiercely protective of family, friends and loved ones.
· Intuitive: Intuition is another key Cancer characteristic. Crabs tend to rely more on their intuition than on their practical or rational sense of judgment (totally agree with that – I do it all the time); this is due to an intense emotional state and the ability to easily detect emotional changes in others.
Cancers are essentially psychic, able to “read” people using their emotional intelligence. In fact, this is the skill Cancers use to avoid being deceived by others and to give them a better sense of security. They can make decisions both quickly and effectively based purely on their intuition, a strength that’s unique to Cancers. I love having this as my strength and thank the Universe for such a gift. I utilise it often.
· Caring: Incredibly nurturing. To the point of being told “you care too much.” Personally, I’ve never understood that statement. How can one care too much?
· Tarot Card: No. 7: The Chariot. Overcoming obstacles; representing willpower, strength and victory. It reflects the evolution of spirituality and the strength of will, indicating that while the journey may involve hard work and difficult paths, success is achievable through perseverance. I can also vouch for this. My own personal numerology life number is 7. So, the Chariot and I have a lot in common. A synchronicity of mind, life, the mystical and spiritual. We are all in-sync in some way. You can work it out for yourself. The answers are all there, waiting for you to decipher.
So, with fingers crossed and a longing in my heart, I pray that 2026 will commence a year of peace for all. For our human family to be nurtured, protected and cared for, as a universal ‘family’, or as an individual, strive to care for those less fortunate in their own life journeys. I know I will do my best to uphold the Cancerian family traits as we move into a new year and into the future.
Moreso, this year should begin to unfold positively, as we commence a numerology No. 1 year. A new beginning in the numerological calendar. A fresh start. We’ve just spent the past nine years in turmoil, destruction, hate, wars and atrocities one could never, should never, imagine.
Even in my own backyard of Bondi Beach. I would never, ever have thought such hate could manifest here, of all places, where all Aussie hearts live, thrive, belong – where we all belong. No matter where you come from, your beliefs, your views. We ALL are one here.
Or so we thought.
This has scarred our very heritage. Our culture is a loving, peaceful nation. People come here to escape the wars and hate of other countries. This hate does not happen here.
But it did.
But it will not remain here. It will not stain our hearts. Because we, as Aussies, are better than that. We open our arms and hearts to those in need. To those who suffer in other lands. We supply the love, and the nurturing and the caring – we don’t kill it. Hate does not belong here. It never will. We are too strong as a nation, as an Aussie family, to crumble under the hate of two men who cannot access the light to their own hearts.
What was their purpose? What did they achieve? In their own depraved reasoning, they achieved nothing for their own ‘enlightenment’.
In reality, they took precious lives. Men, women and yes, even children from our Aussie family. They took little Matilda - a name her family gave her because it breathed our Aussie culture. A culture they chose to be part of. “Waltzing Matilda” is our unofficial national anthem. Written as a poem by Banjo Patterson in 1895. It holds significant cultural and historical importance, symbolising the spirit of our nation and its history. An honour of the highest order in our eyes, for a Jewish family to choose such a name for their beloved daughter. Only to have their freedom, their precious jewel, stolen in a manner none of us can comprehend. They inflicted so much pain and torture upon our family and our land that has only ever shone like the sun, radiating through all who call this land home.
We all ache with pain and disbelief that this has happened – to us, to our family, in our Great Southern Land of peace.
It will never happen again.
Our hearts are too strong.
Our loyalty and protection of our own is far too strong to let the darkness permeate and poison ever again.
We don’t need guns to retaliate. We don’t use each other as weapons or targets.
We rise together as one. Our hearts beat together. Not separately. Our strength of love and pride in who we are and will continue to be, will overpower the darkness.
It’s already begun.
So, on this last page of 2025, let’s all be as one on this planet. If only for one day – New Year’s Eve. There is immeasurable pain in leaving Matilda and the other fourteen lives lost that day on 14 December. So, we won’t.
We carry them with us into the present and the future - always. As with all the loved ones we may have lost in 2025, in our families around the world, we will forever hold them close in our hearts and cherish their memory, their lives, their presence on this planet and the difference they made, the light and love they gave and shared in their time on this planet.
Never will they be forgotten.
Can we not rise together? John Lennon did not die in vain. He only wanted to Give Peace A Chance. We still sing it, we still wish for it – let’s manifest it into reality for him and all of the human race. God knows our planet has seen enough war, hate, and darkness.
Let’s go forward into 2026 with hope, connection and resolve. To finally find a way to overcome that which prevents us from rising to our higher selves.
Let’s rise like a chariot into the sky. Like Sandy and Danny on their final journey into the clouds in Grease, to find our Shangri-La. Surely our world deserves a little peace and quiet, no? It’s time to heal our weary planet. Being human is becoming exhausting. Will we ever learn?
2026 also ushers in the Chinese Year of the Fire Horse. Commencing 17 February 2026, to 5 February 2027. It is viewed as a year of optimism and opportunity, success and good fortune. Let’s hope the universe is finally hearing our prayers for peace. Let’s hope the Fire Horse delivers.
So, here’s the synchronistic links for 2026:
2026 is a No. 1 year in numerology. (i.e. 2+0+2+6 = 10. 1+0 = 1) A new beginning.
3 January delivers a Full Moon in Cancer.
Cancer’s Tarot card is The Chariot, featuring two horses.
17 February commences the Chinese New Year of the Fire Horse.
Are you with me so far? Can you see the positive magic invisibly unfolding for 2026?
So, on this New Year’s Eve of 2025, a full moon in Cancer and the Year of the Fire Horse, I share with you another one of my photos taken while gazing into our wondrous atmosphere recently. I thought it appropriate, synchronistic even, as Cancer’s corresponding Tarot card is, of all things, the Chariot, driven by the charioteer attempting to maintain control of his surroundings to emerge victorious.
I looked into the sky, and there it was, charging towards me out of the clouds. A rush of angels for my eyes only. I was lucky enough to capture the image before it raced across the sky into the ether beyond.
I can see the face of an angel flying in a chariot of clouds. Wings outstretched. His face fierce with purpose. While smaller creatures, like little sphinxes, hover on either side, observing the earth below, waiting for his command. The image radiates such power. It was all too synchronistic.
Surely there is a message, a sign here. Just like my ‘The Message’ post (December 25), I have no doubt this fearsome angel in the sky heralds’ good tidings coming towards our earth, each other, and our planet.
This is my New Year’s wish – peace for us all; peace for our planet; love entwining every heart, love for each other.
So, on this eve of a brand-new year, I wish all my Substack ‘family’, near and far, a most prosperous, joyful, happy, peaceful January 1, through the year and beyond. Let all men’s hearts know and keep the spirit of unconditional love within.
We can do it if we try together.
Remember –
“We are one, but we are many. And from all the lands on earth we come.
We share a dream and sing with one voice,
I am, you are, we are Australian. (Bruce Woodley & Dobe Newton)
I am, you are, we are humanity.
I wish you all a peaceful, joyous New Year - Let’s weave a rainbow around the world and paint our world in love. 🕸️💞🪶 D.

Thank you my friend, for speaking the deep ache (we all feel it) it is like the ground splitting open beneath our feet...the rage, the violence, the ruptures.... Yes, let us step into peace, repair, and rebuilding in this New Year that is just being born. Let us reclaim our original innocence...our birthright....and let us shine, luminescent and bright, together...uplifting, empowering life, love, and true justice.
“Let’s rise like a chariot into the sky.”
Alright, I’m buckling in~ grief riding shotgun, hope holding the reins.
I love how this refuses to sink; it gathers stars, horses, angels, everyone, and says up we go anyway.
Tender heart, stubborn lift, zero permission asked.
Yeah. Harness on. Eyes up. I’m coming.
