From across the planet, I salute him too.....and you for sharing him with us this way! I love the way your relationship is so unstoppable! I love that you honor him this way... Tears and smiles...Thank you....
Dani, reading this moved me deeply. The way you honor your dad and all the Anzacs is so heartfelt and real. Your words capture both the weight and the light of remembrance, and the love you hold for your father shines through every line. Thank you for sharing these memories and for reminding us how important it is to remember those who gave so much. Thinking of you and your dad today.
Thank you, dear Sunshine. Your heartfelt words mean a lot. I wish no man, woman, or child had to endure war. It’s a heinous act of mankind. Yet, still to this day, they cannot seem to detach from the darkness of it all. Why do we need to keep warring with each other? It’s been happening for centuries, and still it continues today. We have learnt nothing. Are the material things in this life so important that we have to obliterate each other? It’s not an act of the heart, but of material greed. Nothing more. And they send yours and our young men into these circles of hate. When they should be living the life gifted to them by the Universe. Never given the chance to fulfil their true path on Earth. But rather, taken out of their hands. Lives so young, lost - for what? We do not celebrate the victories on Anzac Day; we remember the sacrifice made by so many of our innocent men and women. That’s what we remember. Not war, but the sacrifices they made for all of us. As do the men and women of your armed forces also. Who actually invented the gun? I wonder what he does in heaven these days. Thank you, my Sunshine. Dad and I thank you. I wish he were here. I miss him so damn much - even his whistling. Mostly, his singing ,“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine…” to me on his guitar, sitting at the end of the bed before I went to sleep. Much love to you, my friend. xx🕸️🪶😪

Thank you for sharing that with me 🤍
The way you speak about your dad, especially that memory of him singing to you, is so touching. It really stayed with me.
You can feel how deeply he’s loved and missed.
I’m thinking of you.
Thank you Sunshine. So many share these feelings. Emptiness is a lonely word. xx
